PPR and handling are mandatory for non-based aircraft, with handling and landing fees for three passengers totaling about €300. The GA terminal is located on the opposite side of the runway from the main terminal, making access between terminals complicated; taxis at the main terminal often refuse to drive to the Executive Terminal, and ride-sharing services may not be available. The GA terminal is described as having limited facilities and little curb appeal, though a lounge is available if handling is paid. Free parking is available in the visitors lot at the GA terminal.
Long waiting times at holding points are common due to heavy commercial traffic. Avgas is available via self-service from a pump that can be difficult to locate; payment is by card, but receipts may not be issued. Administrative procedures require aircraft documents such as noise certificates, airworthiness, and registration papers; these may need to be scanned and sent by email from on-site facilities. Landing fee invoices are sent after departure.
Public transport options from the GA terminal are limited. The main terminal offers shuttle bus connections to Brussels Midi station (about one hour travel time), but reaching the main terminal from the GA side typically requires a taxi or other arrangement, with walking not practical. Car hire services are located at the main terminal.
Customs services are available. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM. EBCI is suitable for general aviation but presents logistical challenges for ground transport and incurs high fees compared to alternatives in the Brussels area.
