Pilot Comments for EDDG
Sebastian
IFR with an AA5 plus parking for 1 night came to just under 22 EUR. Very, very friendly and accommodating staff. You can have a rental car delivered to the GAT and return it there as well. Nice lounge with coffee and a briefing room available in the GAT.

EDDG Münster/Osnabrück welcomes general aviation with efficient, friendly service and a dedicated GA terminal (GAT). VFR and IFR operations are supported, including Cat 3 ILS on both ends of runway 07/25 and multiple instrument approaches. No PPR is required for normal operations, but prior contact by phone or email is expected for customs/passport control on international arrivals. Practice approaches require prior ATC permission. ATC and ground staff are consistently described as helpful and professional.
Landing fees for non-commercial GA are generally low for an international airport, with typical examples ranging from about €15 to €60 depending on duration and services. Example: landing plus two nights parking about €60; landing plus one night about €40; short stays can be under €20. Handling via the GAT is mandatory for most GA flights, with a standard handling fee around €40 in some cases. Fees include VAT. Parking is available at the GAT, and hangar space is generally accessible.
Facilities include a modern GA terminal with briefing rooms, a comfortable lounge offering complimentary coffee and tea, cold drinks for a small charge, and free WiFi. Refueling is available (BP card accepted), though fuel prices are relatively high; fueling may require taxiing to a dedicated apron or waiting for a bowser. Rental cars can be arranged directly at the GAT, with keys left at security if needed. The airport offers efficient crew transport between aircraft and terminal by follow-me car or crew bus when required.
Ground access to Münster is possible by taxi (about €70) or by regular S50 express bus (about €13), with travel times typically 45–60 minutes. Walking distance between the GAT and main terminal ranges from 1–10 minutes depending on route; security checks apply when re-entering airside.
Customs and immigration are available H24 with advance notice via phone or email for non-Schengen arrivals. The airport is suitable for training flights, including NVFR, and offers relaxed procedures even during scheduled airline operations.
Overall, EDDG provides excellent value and service for non-commercial GA pilots seeking an efficient international airport experience with full facilities and straightforward access to both VFR and IFR operations.
