Information from pirep.io:
Description: College Park Airport is the world's oldest continuously operated airport, where Wilbur Wright began training pilots in 1909. The airport is a 10-minute walk to the DC Metro (Red & Green Lines, College Park station), which provides quick access to the entire DC region. As of 2025, a Metro fare card is no longer required. You can tap in-and-out of the turnstiles using your contactless credit card or smart phone. The airport is located within the Flight Restricted Zone, so pilot vetting is required before operating in and out of the facility. Vetting information is available on the College Park Airport website. There are noise-sensitive areas surrounding the airport and unique arrival and departure instructions. Full details are located on the College Park Airport website.
Transient Parking: Parking with tie-downs is available in the open spaces near the FBO.
Fuel Location: 100LL fuel pumps are located next to the FBO. They're not self service, but they're very accessible. Taxi up and the line staff will quickly fuel you up. Then you can taxi to parking (or push the plane with your towbar).
Crew Car: There is no crew car available, but the airport is very close to the DC Metro.
Flying Clubs: Free State Flying Club has a 172 and a 177 here.
