Nevers Fourchambault Airport (LFQG)

English is used on the radio during ATS hours and is handled without difficulty. IFR procedures are available, including RNP and NDB approaches; Avord Approach is used for IFR pick-up. The GPS approach is only available when R144 is inactive; see AIP/NOTAM for details. Customs are available with 2 hours prior notice. There is typically little traffic, and operations are generally uncomplicated.

AVGAS 100LL and Jet A1 are available at a BP self-service station, with payment by BP card, cash, or credit card accepted. Fuel can be arranged outside normal hours with advance notice. Parking is available on the apron; parking for two days is possible. Example: landing fee about €20.

Facilities on site are limited, especially at weekends, but a flight planning room exists (without PC). No restaurant at the airfield, but a Carrefour supermarket with a Flunch restaurant and other food options (including Burger King and Lidl) are within 5–15 minutes on foot. Taxis to Nevers cost around €20 and may take some time to arrive; a bus service is also accessible from the nearby shopping center. Bicycle hire is located near the railway bridge.

The airfield and runways are well maintained, with low traffic levels and friendly staff. Entry to the apron area after hours may require use of a keypad code at the gate (see local signage). Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.

Customs require 2 hours prior notice by phone. The airport offers a convenient stop for fuel or customs clearance in the region.
